Computer Setup Guide
If you are new to the team, welcome to Alithya! We want you to know we are very happy to have you on board with us. Here are some simple steps you will need to follow when configuring an Alithya computer from scratch.
Alithya uses Autopilot, this technology from Microsoft allows us to provide you with a very straightforward and brief configuration process. It should only take about 30 minutes for the computer to be ready to use.
Step 1: Power on and connect
- Power on your new computer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Ensure you have a reliable internet connection throughout the setup process.
- Keep the computer connected to a power source until the setup is complete.

Step 2: Sign in with your Alithya work account
- Use your Alithya email and password to sign in.
- If you do not have access to your Alithya account, call the Helpdesk to obtain a temporary password.
- Helpdesk contact information can be found at the end of this guide.
Step 3: Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Keep your mobile phone close; you will need it to authenticate using the MFA (Authenticator App).
- If you haven’t set up MFA yet, follow the prompts to configure it.
Step 4: Install mandatory applications
- During the initial setup, multiple mandatory applications will install.
- Ensure the computer remains connected to a power source and to the internet.
- The computer may restart a few times during this process.
- If the setup seems stuck, force a reboot.
Step 5: Configure OneDrive
- Search for OneDrive or click on the OneDrive icon in the system tray.
- Sign in with your Alithya credentials and follow the prompts.

Step 6: How to get support
- The Helpdesk is available Monday to Friday 3am to 6pm EST.
- Call the Helpdesk at the number listed for your country in the IT Portal.
- If your issue is not urgent you can report it in the IT Portal to create a ticket or email helpdesk@alithya.com
