USER GUIDE - APPROVING an EXPENSE REPORT
This guide walk you through the process of approving an expense report, providing clear instructions on how to review, approve, or reject expense reports efficiently.

1. Select the expense report to review
From the Home page, click the bell icon to access your notifications.

A brief list of open notifications, including those awaiting reading or action, will appear. To view the complete list of open notifications, click Show All.

The complete list of open notifications is displayed.
Select the expense report you wish to review and act upon.

2. View the expense report
The action review screen which provides a summary of the expense report along with the following action buttons :

View Expense Report allows you to see the details of the expense report.

Actions enables you to perform tasks within the expense report approval process.

Approve enables you to perform tasks within the expense report approval process.

Reject rejects the expense report.
Click on View Expense Report to view the details of the expense report.
Once you’re done with your review, click Done to return to the action review screen.

3. Select other actions
Before approving or rejecting an expense report, you might want to consider taking some preliminary actions.
The Actions feature enables you to perform various tasks within the expense report approval process. The available options are:

Request Information request additional information from the submitter.

Delegate transfers the approval request to another approver, who then inherits your approval limits and can take action on your behalf.

Reassign transfers the approval request to another approver where the new approver's limits are in effect and will be the actual approver.

Route Task allows the approver to reassign to another resource not only the ability to approve but also to suspend or withdraw the expense report.

Add Comments allows the approver to add comments.

Add Attachment allows the approver to add attachments.

Add Assignee allows the approver to add another approver into the hierarchy.

View Approvals displays the approval hierarchy.

4. Approve an expense report
Click Approve, add a comment, and then click Submit.


5. Reject an expense report
Click Reject, add a comment, and then click Submit.


You have completed the procedure once you have either approved or rejected the expense report.
